Founder and Owner
Amanda Cooley is the proud owner of Ruby Yoga in North Bay, ON. She has been teaching yoga for 11 years and practicing for 15. With a background in the Iyengar-style lineage of yoga, Amanda seamlessly cues her students safely in and out of poses with careful attention to detail. Her direct focus on alignment allows her students to explore their bodies range of motion, with precision and depth giving them the confidence to be playful in their practice.
Amanda's love of travel and her wanderlust spirit brought her to a yoga ashram in India where she lived, worked and studied Bhakti - the practice of devotion. She strives to intertwine all aspects of Bhakti into her teachings and her everyday life, living her yoga full on and off the mat.

Currently living in the country as part of a multi species home, Storme spends her time cycling on her new bike Walter, kayaking in her little yellow "sweetie" and gardening to the point of self-sufficiency so she can cook with real food. Her greatest love is her three-generational family: a great grandson, Phoenix, who is 2 and his adorable little sister, Raven, who will soon be celebrating her 1st birthday. Storme is also a volunteer at Near North Palliative Care! She takes online courses and generally enjoys each and every day and continues to look for peace of mind for those things that she cannot change.
